Cheesy pilchard and rice bake

Ingredients
Cooking oil 1 onion, finely chopped 1tsp chopped garlic Quarter of a small red cabbage, chopped 1 can pilchard Cooked mashed butternut Cooked rice Cooked legumes (lentils, split peas, barley) Salt and pepper Chinese 5 spice Cheddar cheese, grated
Method
1. Heat the oil in a pan and saute onions, green pepper and garlic. Add cabbage and cook til soft.
2. Stir in the rice, legumes, pilchard and butternut. Season with salt, pepper and Chinese 5 spice. Cook until the rice is heated through.
3. Preheat the oven to 180 °C
4. Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and top with half of the grated cheese.
5. Bake in the oven until golden.
